CUTTING

We are able to cut unusually long lengths accurately on our narrow blade bandsaw either from our own stock of locally sourced timber or your own tree. We provide or arrange haulage for incoming timber and have built relationships with several foresters and tree surgeons who help us safely obtain our timber. Delivery is made by our own transport or the most cost effective means, we regularly send pallets to customers in Scotland for as little as £65.

KILN DRIED OAK

We have a good stock of kiln dried oak slabs and boards for projects inside the home as huge tables or bar and restaurant tops. Boards can be supplied with a natural wainy edge or straight cut sides. They are mostly 65mm thick to 80mm and can be up to 800mm wide.

We also have rustic wide kiln dried boards which have in the past been sold for use in a national trust property as floor boards.

PLANNING

We are happy to help in any way we can in the planning of your project by suggesting types of timber we have in stock that can be milled to suit to create a truly unique feature of the home or garden. With reclaimed wood you really have to work with sizes and types that are available and suitable and whilst we carry a huge stock of timber it can be easier to think outside the box right from the early planning stages and design something to suit the materials that are most suitable and desirable. The end result will be a unique, tailored carefully thought out one off design created by you with our help.

OAK FLOOR BOARDS

Our oak floor boards are kiln dried and are tongue and groove jointed on all four sides for end matching. They also have small recesses on the back of the board to reduce tension in the wood. We have various sizes but mostly sell 170mm wide boards at £40.00/m2+vat

RECLAIMED CLADDING

We mostly sell reclaimed timber cladding with provenance which finds it way into private homes as feature walls, ecofloating homes and we have supplied hundreds of square meters to restaurants both interior and exterior in a range of mixed reclaimed timbers with some great and unique results.

We keep a stock of oak milled from the longleat estate for example in wainy edged and straight boards.We mill cedar and larch to order and have profiled our reclaimed Canadian cedar for cladding garden studios and homes.

We are able to offer a selection of timbers for display blocks for art installations such as sculptures for example. We cut huge oak blocks as mounts for blacksmith art, stonemasons and for the private home as solid coffee tables.
